I'm David Fu — a Computer Engineering student at NYU Tandon (class of 2029), based out of Brooklyn, NY. I grew up tinkering: taking apart computers, building custom PCs for people in the neighborhood, and teaching myself to code through competitive programming and game development.
I reached USACO Platinum — one of the top tiers in competitive programming — and qualified for the AIME in both 2023 and 2024. But beyond competitions, I care about making things that actually work and help people. That's what drives everything I build.
Outside of code I've logged over 600 volunteer hours — teaching classes on Zoom, distributing food, organizing shelter donations, and baking cookies for local communities. I think being a good engineer means caring about the people your work touches.
I'm fluent in English and Mandarin, comfortable on Linux, and always looking for the next thing to build. If you want to work together or just talk tech — reach out.

Creeper Discord Bot
A fully custom, multi-function Discord bot built with Python and Discord.py. Features include server moderation tools, automated command handling, and live API integrations that respond in real time. Deployed and actively running in a real server community. Named "Creeper" — because it creeps up on everything that needs automating.
Multiple interactive games built from scratch using Unity and C#. Covered full game loops — gameplay systems, UI design, core logic, art polish, and thorough debugging cycles. Learned Unity independently from zero.
Built automation scripts, SQL query workflows, and analytical pipelines through a 6-month intensive technical training program. Focused on real data, real problems — not just toy examples.
Designed, built, and sold custom computers for gaming, school, and general use since 2021. Consulted clients on build options, ensured smooth performance, and provided post-sale support.
Deep in circuits, data structures, and computer architecture. The coursework is getting real — so is the coffee intake.
Adding slash command support, better logging, and new API integrations. The bot never really stops getting updated.
Getting back into capture-the-flag challenges. Keeping the Linux and Python scripting skills sharp post-high school nationals.
Actively looking for SWE or computer engineering internships. Open to systems, backend, tooling — anywhere I can ship real code.
Whether you want to talk about a project, an internship, or just geek out about code and PCs — I'm always down to chat.
Drop me a note and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
